I’d love to have and to hold someone special
To take away the loneliness and boredom
On Sundays & maybe parts of Mondays.

I am convinced that most of my inner turmoils,
And daily difficulties could be solved if I had someone
On Sundays & maybe parts of Mondays.

I have never demanded much of love,
And have never expected much of anyone except possibly
On Sundays & maybe parts of Mondays.

I have always enjoyed intimate dinners,
And wonderful walks hand in hand in the park with breeze
On Sundays & maybe parts of Mondays.

I enjoy the thought of holding and being held on slippery sheets
With thoughts of warmth and nurturing and eternity
On Sundays & maybe parts of Mondays.

I don't know how those couples do it
All those pet names and tender manners bestowed on days other than
On Sundays & maybe parts of Mondays.

I think there should be a new form of union, of marriage
That says "I am yours till death do us part"
